Update JULY 2023 - Did I reach my goals?
As I reflect on my summer, I am really proud of what I accomplished. I was able to originate the role of "Hailey" in the Webseries "How the Hell can our Final Exam be a Scavenger Hunt", along side some of my favorite people in my Theater Program. I enjoyed assistant directing the Spring Musical "ROCK OF AGES: at UNCG and was an emergency swing when Covid hit a few of the cast. The understudies and swings really did a great job keeping the show going!
I was cast in my first Professional theater experience with the Rubber City Theater. I was ensemble in Matilda and performed along side some of the most talented kids in NorthEastern Ohio. I had the pleasure of playing Hope Harcourt in the production of Anything Goes and loved every second of it. An extra bonus was being asked to joining the Rubber City Educational Team and teach Musical Theater to a great group of 8 year olds and a great group of tweens. I was able to share everything I have learned from my experiences at ETC Show Choir, Revere Players, Cameo Summer Theater, the Millennial Theater Project and my training at UNCG.
I was able to sing the National Anthem for a few organizations that mean alot to me. I loved going to Miami, Florida and singing for the Inter-Miami Soccer team for their Kick Out Cancer event. I was able to bring 3 of my UNCG friends with me and we had a great time! I always love singing for Project Outrun and I was accompanied by the founder's son Griffin on electric guitar. He was awesome! I also sang for the Four Leaf Clover Run which is very special to me. The founder of the race lost 2 of his sisters to cancer and has raised over 100K for cancer warriors like me over the last 7 years. He also hired me to work in his food truck, Eddies Famous Cheesesteak Food Truck this summer and I have really enjoyed that as well!
I am really happy with the work we have done with TMI, The Molly Impact, as well. We continue to send out customized care packages to cancer warriors aged 16-24 and I have had alot of help from wonderful organizations we have collaborations with. I could not do it without the support of my family and friends. I look forward to building more awareness next semester and continuing the great work my sorority is doing for Make A Wish and Susan B Komen.
The Panthers didn't win the Stanley Cup this year but making it to the Finals was great! I can't wait for Hockey season to start back up again in a few months. I am excited to start the semester and keep working towards finding an agent that fits in with my future goals. I am really excited about next semester!
Check in with me again soon when I post my goals for the next few months and see where I land!
